AUCKLAND, New Zealand -- Endace UK:EDA +0.83% , world leaders in network monitoring and recording, today announced that Spencer Greene, formerly vice president product management at Juniper Networks, has joined Endace's Executive Team to open a new California-based office and lead worldwide product management and marketing activities.

Spencer comes to Endace with more than 20 years of high-technology experience and holds more than 25 U.S. patents. He joins Endace from Juniper Networks, where he held a number of executive positions over his 12-year tenure, most recently as vice president product management for Junos(R) software, a role he took on after running strategy, corporate development and M&A functions. Prior to Juniper, he was the founder and chief technologist at Layer Five Inc., which was acquired by Juniper Networks in 1999.

"Since I joined the networking industry, the one constant refrain I've heard from operators of carrier and enterprise networks is a need for better visibility into their traffic. Over the last 15 years, the IP networking industry has developed dramatically faster and more feature-rich ways to connect people and machines, but the equipment that delivers this connectivity brings with it complexity and risk," Greene said. "Good visibility solutions for owners and users of these networks have been lacking. As a result, organizations limit the functionality they enable, which in turn limits the value they realize from the equipment they've purchased. I'm convinced that Endace can unleash that value. I'm very excited to be joining the team, and I'm looking forward to using our industry-leading technology to help carriers and enterprises do more with their networks."
