DUBLIN -- euNetworks, (SGX: H23.SI), owner and operator of one of Europe’s highest capacity fiber networks and provider of mission critical infrastructure and services, today announced that it has signed a deal with Ice Broadband, one of Ireland’ s largest broadband providers. Under the terms of the agreement, euNetworks enabled Ice with an integrated solution of Tier 1 global IP connectivity and a dedicated, redundant Ethernet ring, Metro¦nex, over which Ice will provision voice and data services for their expanding customer base.

Ice Broadband, headquartered in Dublin, is one of Ireland’s fastest growing broadband providers, using a range of technologies such as Wireless and satellite to deliver data and voice services. Ice required a high capacity, scalable solution to support their intensive services rollout in the greater Dublin area. euNetworks deployed Metro¦nex, a high capacity metropolitan Ethernet solution, in and around Dublin for the delivery of broadband to Ice’s business and residential customers. euNetworks also enabled Ice with a wholesale offering of Tier 1 IP Transit for the fastest, most reliable user Internet access with minimum contention.

Brian Doherty, Technical Director, Ice Broadband said: “As a growing, dynamic business we must be positioned to respond to shifting demands from new and existing customers. euNetworks was uniquely able to warrant the scalability and flexibility required, delivering Ethernet over private fiber and global Tier 1 IP Transit, delivering the security and scalability needed for a fast-developing company such as ours. ”

Noel Meaney, Chief Executive Officer, euNetworks, said; “euNetworks is delighted to be selected by Ice, one of Ireland’s foremost broadband providers. As Ice grows its customer base and expands their product offering to their customers, euNetworks as a high quality provider of high capacity communications solutions is well positioned to support their progression.”
