ACTON, Mass. -- Dowslake Microsystems Corp., a leading smart network building blockprovider, today announced that its MTS Series Carrier Ethernet Switch hasbeen successfully tested and certified for deployment by the Ministry ofIndustry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.Dowslake has also signed its first major contract with China Telecom forsupplying Carrier Ethernet switches to deliver bandwidth service in theprovince of Sichuan.

Dowslake MTS family of products consist of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switchesdesigned according to the latest Carrier Ethernet standards, including MEF 9and MEF 14, IEEE 802.1ag, IEEE 802.3ah and ITU-T Recommendation Y.1731.Dowslake previously announced MEF certification of its MTS carrier switchesin late 2008.
