PETACH TIKVA, Israel -- ECI Telecom, a global provider of next generation network solutions, announced today the signing of a partnership with Incospec Communications, one of the leading providers for terrestrial broadcast, cable, optical, satellite, telecom and wireless networks in Canada.

Incospec offers innovative and best-of-breed solutions for the new challenges of HDTV, IPTV, 3DTV, multiplatform distribution such as Mobile TV and much more. The agreement will allow Incospec to expand its solution portfolio with ECI’s end-to-end next generation platforms, led by the company’s award-winning Carrier Ethernet 9000 family.

The growing demand from business and residential customers for more speed and bandwidth creates a need for metro area next generation networks capable of deploying high bandwidth, data-centric services. These services include business applications such as e-commerce, storage, VoIP, video conferencing and virtual presence, as well as residential broadband services like triple play (voice, video and data), Video-on-Demand, IPTV and other TV services.

ECI’s agreement with Incospec strengthens ECI’s presence in North America, and represents the company’s focus on developing strong partnerships in markets with high growth potential.
