Convergent Networks names Dennis Maddock, a telecommunications and cable veteran, VP of worldwide sales

LOWELL, Mass. -- Convergent Networks, a leading provider of next-generation voice infrastructure products, today announced the appointment of Dennis J. Maddock as vice president, worldwide sales. Maddock brings more than 20 years of management experience in the telecommunications and cable industries, selling to incumbent telephone companies, competitive carriers, cable multiple system operators, Internet service providers, wireless operators and utility companies in North America and Europe. At Convergent Networks, Maddock is responsible for developing a distribution strategy and driving sales of packet-based switching equipment into large carrier, cable and international markets. Maddock previously was the regional vice president of sales at Mahi Networks, responsible for sales to large carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, BellSouth, Cable & Wireless and competitive interexchange carriers. Prior to Mahi Networks, Maddock spent 15 years with ADC Telecommunications, in a variety of positions including group vice president sales, Broadband Connectivity Group; national account manager, CLEC and CATV markets; and national account manager, IBM.
