Aura Networks' Radiance product for managed optical Ethernet receives NEBS certification

MERRIMACK, N.H. -- Aura Networks, Inc., a leading developer of optical Ethernet management and provisioning solutions for metropolitan area networks, announced today it has received NEBS Level III certification for its Radiance(TM) Optical Ethernet System. The Radiance line includes the R5000 Central Service Platform and R1000 Premise Service Platform. It is the first cost effective, optical Ethernet system for the metro-access market to receive NEBS Level III certification."NEBS Level III certification ensures that equipment satisfies service providers' as well as end users' requirements for high service availability," said Darrell Furlong, CTO and senior vice president of engineering. "It demonstrates that our equipment can withstand extremely harsh conditions such as fire, earthquakes, temperature, humidity, electromagnetic interference, and other environmental factors and continue to provide the performance and reliability that today's carriers require."
