MORGAN HILL, Calif. -- Anritsu Company introduces the MS4624x series, the newest models in its popular ScorpionÒ Vector Network Measurement System (VNMS) family. Increasing Scorpion's frequency range to 9 GHz, the MS4624x series is available in 2-, 3-, and 4-port configurations for conducting fast and highly accurate passband and higher frequency out-of-band rejection measurements on both single-ended and balanced devices, including those used in 3G handsets. With the new 9 GHz frequency models, the Scorpion family offers unprecedented versatility through a single connection to satisfy next-generation filter, amplifier, mixer, power amplifier and multi-port requirements.Capitalizing on Scorpion's upgradeable design, the MS4624x series has powerful simulation tools for mixed-mode S-parameters, embedding/de-embedding and arbitrary impedance. With fast and accurate feedback, productivity and throughput are increased when characterizing devices such as SAW filters and integrated circuits. De-embedding utilities provide compensation techniques for typical test fixture environments to further enhance the measurement accuracy, while integrated embedding utilities, consisting of an extensive library of circuit primitives, increases time-to-market and yield when simulating the final matched behavior of components. The MS4624x's arbitrary impedance transformations also accurately handle non-50 Ohm measurement scenarios typically associated with balanced devices, making the VNMS well suited for applications requiring ripple, insertion loss and amplitude imbalance accuracy on the order of ±0.1 dB.The high performance MS4624x VNMS typically offer 150 µsec/point speed, 125 dB dynamic range and ±0.03 dB uncertainties for passband S21 measurements. Innovative options, including group delay, time domain, gain compression, harmonics, noise figure and intermodulation distortion, provide the new Scorpion models with practical versatility to characterize amplifiers, mixers, power amplifiers and other multi-port modules. By expanding the capabilities to 9 GHz, Anritsu continues to provide measurement solutions that both satisfy and simplify next generation measurement requirements.Anritsu Corp.
