LONDON and BRUSSELS, Belgium -- Ebone is helping enterprises and service providers to roll out new European network services and other communication solutions far faster following today's announcement that it has slashed the time it takes to deliver pan-European IP and/or optical backbone services on the Ebone network to just 24 hours from the time the order is received. This shatters previous industry standard provisioning times, which hitherto were 15-20 days at best. Ebone has done so without increasing the cost or compromising the quality of its services. Critically, the 24-hour live provisioning of new services includes live on-site testing of every customer connection and includes Ebone's existing service level agreement (SLA). The 24-hour provisioning of broadband services will help European businesses and service providers to bring IP applications to market more quickly, giving them greater competitive advantage and the flexibility to respond to customer demand for fast, innovative and specialised services. "This initiative is another addition to Ebone's long list of industry firsts," said Duncan Lewis, Ebone CEO. "Our breadth of experience in provisioning IP and optical services and our talented pool of specialised engineers enable us to meet customer needs within hours. When customers are building their business on the back of your network, service matters. That's why we continue to set the industry standard for service and innovation in Europe." Ebone
