PARIS -- Cril Telecom Software (CTS), a leading provider of advanced network planning, deployment and management software solutions for wireless and fixed telecom operators and service providers, today announced two major new versions of Ellipse Planning and Ellipse Project, together with a business modelling tool to help operators assess the business benefit of the products. CTS's Ellipse Project v1.2 and Ellipse Planning v6 are integrated OSS products designed to increase engineer productivity and reduce time to deploy, capital expenditure and operational costs associated with roll-out and expansion of radio infrastructure. Ellipse Planning version 6 is the first truly integrated planning solution to provide 2G as well as 2.5 and 3G planning and Cellular as well as Transmission planning, all on a single platform that runs on Unix, Linux and WindowsTM. Ellipse Planning supports W-CDMA and (E)GPRS planning, and provides integrated OPEX and CAPEX budgeting features for service delivery cost prediction. Common 2G and 3G traffic service assumptions are supported to facilitate capacity planning and backhaul planning, including point-to-point (PP) and point-to-multipoint (PMP) transmission. Ellipse Project version 1.2 is a powerful process automation tool for network deployment, upgrade and maintenance, with web based information management functionality providing a unique combination of benefits to operators and their sub-contractors. Ellipse Project empowers national and regional teams to reduce time and cost for the complex, multi-party business processes surrounding network roll-out, upgrade and maintenance activities. This covers processes from site acquisition, build and commissioning, to upgrades of software releases on site, and enables collaborative working with network vendors, tower companies and other sub-contractors. Ellipse Project augments existing OSS solutions by providing a consistent Site Inventory Management for network operations and maintenance teams. To complement Ellipse Planning and Ellipse Project, CTS today also released its Integrated Business Modelling Tool that helps operators quantify and increase the financial benefits of improved deployment and change management processes. In addition, the tool calculates the extensive cost savings on the transmission network through optimising the use of Microwave technology. Financial benefits are expressed as a Return on Investment in terms of EBITDA improvement. Network Vendors can also take advantage of the tool to enhance their sales efforts to provide network operators with improved QOS or new network solutions, as well as network sharing or outsourcing services.
