CARY, N.C. -- Coventor Inc. recently unveiled its innovative MEMS switch development platform at the IMS 2002 Conference and Exhibit in Seattle, Washington. Coventor’s MEMS switch technology enables design engineers to create new wireless products featuring low insertion loss and high isolation capabilities in a smaller package. The MEMS technology platforms will enable the fast design and prototyping capabilities necessary to bring handset and microwave communications systems to market quickly. Samples have been shipped for customer evaluation.The MEMS switches can be customized and integrated with passive and active components on ICs for RF mixed-signal functions. The family is designed to operate from DC to 40 GHz with an with an exceptionally low insertion loss of <0.2 dB for die and <0.4 dB for packaged devices. Coventor ’s RF switches provide high isolation of >25dB at 40GHz and >40dB at 2GHz.
