DENVER -- Automation provides operators with the means to respond to threats faster and even preempt an event, but controlling new security software also increases complexity for service providers, says Mike Benjamin, senior director threat research for CenturyLink. Meanwhile, security professionals are seeking out new analytics tools, such as User Behavioral Analytics (UBA), to sharpen network defenses. Benjamin also explains how machine learning and anomaly detection will become increasingly important in the UBA space.
