PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Vyyo Inc. (NASDAQ: VYYO), a global supplier of broadband access equipment for cable and private wireless broadband network solutions, today announced a corporate-wide rebranding that is intended to unify the company’s positioning across its target markets.
The rebranding, which encompasses a new, streamlined logo, the phase-out of the Xtend Networks brand and the anticipated relocation of the company to new headquarters near Atlanta, reflects Vyyo’s refocusing on specific products for the cable and utility industries, including:
Vyyo’s Spectrum Overlay solution (formerly known as Xtend’s 3Ghz solution) is designed to allow cable companies to substantially increase bandwidth to fiber-like performance, using existing infrastructure and at a fraction of the cost to build new fiber networks.
Vyyo’s T1 solution is designed to allow cable companies to tap into the lucrative small- and medium-sized business and cellular backhaul segments, again using existing infrastructure and at minimal cost.
Vyyo’s wireless technology is designed to allow utility companies to build expansive wireless networks that can be used to monitor operations and to deliver high-speed internet access to rural America.
“Over the past year, we have been focused on creating increased name recognition for the Vyyo brand within our key market segments,” said Avner Kol, chief operating officer of Vyyo. “By having a single name for all of our products and a single location for our headquarters, we will increase the ability of our customers to immediately associate our company with our products.”
