EDISON, N.J. -- Vonage, a leading provider of digital telephone service, today announced a co-branded partnership with Armstrong Cable to deploy broadband telephony service to Armstrong's cable television customers across five states. Vonage will offer Armstrong's Broadband Internet subscribers unlimited local and long distance calling throughout the United States and Canada for a flat rate.

Armstrong is the first multiple systems operator (MSO) to partner with Vonage to deploy an affordable telephony service to its subscriber base. Armstrong subscribers will be offered the Vonage Residential Premium Unlimited Plan and the Small Business Unlimited Plan. Both plans include all the standard telephony features and a number of proprietary features at no additional cost.

"By introducing our first cable partnership with Armstrong, Vonage proves the importance of broadband telephony to an MSO's sustainable revenue growth," said Phil Giordano, vice president of sales/MSO/Cable and major markets. "This partnership offers Armstrong the opportunity to enhance its business by selling telephone service to its existing Broadband Internet customer base, while leveraging two trusted brand names, Vonage and Armstrong, to expand its customer base."

"Armstrong is pleased to join in this opportunity with Vonage," stated Dru Sedwick, president, Armstrong Cable. "We see this product as an enhancement to our Broadband Internet service. Armstrong has offered high speed Internet for over 5 years, and now has 30% penetration company-wide. Digital Voice is a natural addition to our service and one that will offer customers even more value."
