NEWARK, N.J. -- FiberCity Networks, Inc., a gigabit business enterprise data services provider, today announced the development and deployment of a breakthrough 4.8 billion bits-per-second per building "last-mile" network and has begun providing broadband fiber-optic data services to over 4.5 million square feet of Class A commercial office space. The company already has agreements with building owners to permit the rapid deployment of its network into almost 200 buildings in major cities throughout North America, totaling approximately 100 million square feet. The company continues to actively negotiate access agreements with additional building owners and expects to substantially increase the number of buildings and square footage on the network.
