CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Core Networks, a global leader in operations support system (OSS) solutions for the cable television/broadband industry, today announced the release of CoreRhythm, a new firmware management system designed to automate the upgrade process for devices on a broadband network. CoreRhythm replaces current solutions, which require manual intervention, saving time and money for the operators and greatly improving customer satisfaction.

CoreRhythm is a complete firmware management solution designed to manage firmware image upgrades reliably through secure software download (SSD) for all DOCSIS (data over cable service interface specification), Euro-DOCSIS, PacketCable, and CableHome devices in a broadband network, including cable modems, embedded MTAs, MTAs, and Residential Gateways. CoreRhythm delivers an intuitive, flexible, and comprehensive solution, providing multi-vendor support across both CableLabs and tComLabs standard specifications.

"CoreRhythm is extremely important in terms of savings for the cable operator," said Craig Soderquist, CEO of Core Networks. "The immediate cost savings in terms of automatically and remotely upgrading devices is obvious. As more services are added, CoreRhythm's ability to detect and track new devices also means that the operator has much better asset management capability, making overall network management much more simple than it has ever been before."
