Together, the companies are currently developing open interfaces providing a new level of product standardization among on-demand equipment. This will allow headend components from any manufacturer to work together without costly custom integration, reducing delays which can impact the launch of new revenue generating services. By simplifying cable operators' efforts to integrate multiple vendors' products, the companies expect fewer integration problems and a faster return on an operator's VOD investment.
