ORLANDO, Fla. -- Actiontec Electronics announced the Q1000H Wireless N VDSL Modem Router — a residential powerhouse that packs in a wireless N radio, Gigabit Ethernet LAN and WAN support, dual-core 32-bit processor, support for HPNA (LAN and WAN), and superior memory architecture (32MB Flash, 64MB SDRAM). The product's unique versatility dramatically reduces capital and operational costs for carriers, as it offers a single CPE solution for their entire network.

With built-in VDSL2 with Auto Fallback to ADSL 2+/2, HPNA 3.1 (HomePNA), and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces on the WAN side, the Q1000H provides unprecedented deployment flexibility. Carriers can now use the same CPE device across all their deployment topologies — in metro areas, rural, and anywhere in between. As a result, the versatile device fits into any ultra-broadband or broadband access architecture, including ADSL, VDSL, fiber to the curb, fiber to the neighborhood, even fiber to the home. Plus, carriers can seamlessly upgrade residential customers to faster speeds and new services all while using the same Q1000H modem router as before.

"We have been working closely with many of the high speed Internet carriers and the Q1000H directly addresses the application needs and challenges associated with their current and future broadband initiatives," explained Brian Henrichs, Chief Business Development Officer at Actiontec Electronics. "By offering a single SKU for an entire broadband architecture, the Q1000H delivers significant operational savings by streamlining ordering, inventory, training, installation, and support processes for the service providers."
