STOCKHOLM -- Henrik Scharp has taken over as the new CEO of PacketFront, the European leader in FTTH solutions.

Henrik Scharp has been a member of the PacketFront Board since 2008 and its Chairman since beginning of 2010.

Henrik has many years of experience in the telecommunications arena. Since 2006, Henrik has been working with investments in industry and telecoms. Prior to that, Henrik was the CEO of 42Networks, which was merged into PacketFront in late 2006.

“I have been working with PacketFront for many years, and I have come to know it as a company with great products, great people and proven track record of bringing outstanding value to its customers. My intention is now to bring PacketFront forward by implementing the strategy we have developed in recent months,” explains Henrik Scharp.

PacketFront’s new strategy is an increased focus on two main areas: on the existing core business ‘FTTH solutions’ and on the new area of expertise, namely ‘Broadband Management Solutions’, which includes the company’s software product suites BECS, and the award winning control and provisioning system, the Broadband Business Engine (BBE), used to simplify business applications.
