SAN FRANCISCO -- ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, announced today that its ExpressSAS RAID Adapters have been certified by Fujitsu Computer Products of America with their latest in Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disk drive technology, the MBA3300 and MBB2147 Series enterprise drives.

The combination of ATTO's ExpressSAS RAID adapters and Fujitsu's SAS 3.5"15K RPM and 2.5" 10K RPM hard disk drive (HDD) products, provide customers with state-of-the-art solutions for demanding enterprise applications in DVA and IT infrastructures including high-definition video post-production, digital film production, audio production, tape backup, transactional databases, email servers and large server farms.

ExpressSAS RAID adapters offer flexible SAS and SATA II connectivity while delivering blazing-fast 3-Gb/sec. per port performance. The ExpressSAS R348 and R380 models deliver an intelligent and robust RAID solution. The R348offers user selectable port options that include 4 external and 4 internalports, or 8 internal ports, and the R380 offers 8 external ports. These adapters support standard RAID levels 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 in a low-profile form factor that fit standard-length PCI Express slots.

ExpressSAS RAID adapters offer unprecedented levels of performance with ATTO's exclusive Advanced Data Streaming (ADST) Technology. With a combination of features that provide controlled acceleration of large and small blocks of data, ADS manages latency and provides faster and more efficient transfer of data for streaming applications.

"ATTO's host adapter technology fits well with our high-capacity SAS HDDs for today's most demanding storage environments. Fujitsu has a long-standing interoperability history with ATTO products and we are pleased with the test results of the ExpressSAS RAID adapters with our state-of-the-art SAS drives. Our customers feel confident about the interoperability testing of these products," said Joel Hagberg, vice president, marketing and business development, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc.
