Pakistani ISP SuperNet deploys broadband wireless equipment from Aperto Networks in Karachi

MILPITAS, Calif. and KARACHI, Pakistan -- Aperto Networks, a leading WiMAX systems provider serving over 200 operators in 65 countries, announced today that SUPERNET Limited, the largest Data Network Operator and Internet Service Provider in Pakistan, has deployed its PacketWave broadband wireless systems in Karachi, and is in the process of deploying systems in Lahore and Islamabad as well. SUPERNET is owned by TeleCard Limited, Pakistan’s leading integrated telecommunications service provider.

SUPERNET’s PacketWAVE-powered 3.5 GHz wireless network will be used to provide high-speed data connectivity for enterprises and banks, and to enhance SUPERNET’s service delivery across the major urban areas in Pakistan.
