OAKLAND, Calif. -- Confirmed in the recent VoB Gateways - 1H01 Market Share report issued by the noted telecommunications analysis firm RHK, Inc., Zhone Technologies today announced the company’s unprecedented gain in market share, capturing more than 27 percent of the Voice-over-Broadband (VoB) unit shipments with the company’s Sechtor 100A universal voice gateway for the first half of 2001 (1Ho1).

Perhaps most significant is that this rapid market acceptance comes within the first six months of the product introduction. As a component of Zhone's SLMS network architecture, the Sechtor 100A integrates with other Zhone products to optimize multi-service delivery and network management over a single broadband access loop. The Sechtor 100A is a reliable, cost-effective, and efficient solution purposely designed to bridge the gap between data and voice networks, enabling service providers to leverage existing infrastructure while offering voice services over packet-based broadband local loops.
