Zhone Expands Into Latin America

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Continuing its pledge to provide a full range of next-generation access products and services to its customers throughout the world, Zhone Technologies, Inc., today announced the opening of its Caribbean and Latin American (CALA) sales and support offices in Sao Paulo, Brazil; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Mexico City and Monterrey, Mexico.

The new offices will be managed from the company's CALA headquarters in Miami, Fla., and will accommodate sales and support staff to further Zhone's global footprint and extend its ability to provide total voice, video, and data delivery solutions for local-loop networks, worldwide.

"Zhone will give carriers the ability to upgrade existing network infrastructures and extend new last-mile, or local-loop connections to areas that do not currently offer high-bandwidth services," said Antonio Jonusas, area vice president and general manager of the CALA region for Zhone. "Zhone is dedicated to providing the highest level of service and support for its customers, and our Caribbean and Latin American presence is further proof of our efforts and investment not only in North America, but throughout the globe."
