SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Tiara Networks, a leading provider of distributed edge networking solutions, announced today the appointment of Paul Smith to the post of president and CEO. Smith brings over 18 years of experience in the networking and communications industry -- with a strong background in sales, marketing, and engineering -- to Tiara's executive management team. Smith will be responsible for driving the continued growth and development of the company. Dan Palmer, Tiara's founding president and former CEO, has been elected vice-chairman to Tiara's Board of Directors. Palmer will remain active in the company's day-to-day operations, and will continue to play a key role in the strategic direction of the company.
