StockerYale Appoints CFO

Has named Francis J. O'Brien executive vice president and chief financial officer

SALEM, N.H. -- StockerYale, Inc. (Nasdaq: STKR), a leading provider of phase masks, specialty optical fiber, and specialized illumination products, has named Francis J. O'Brien as executive vice president & chief financial officer for StockerYale, effective October 29, 2001. Mr. O'Brien served as director of finance & business development for Analogic Corporation where he was responsible for strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, internal and external reporting and investor communications. During his tenure with Analogic, Mr. O'Brien directed both the annual and strategic plans outlining revenue, profit, working capital and cash flow goals for all domestic and international divisions and subsidiaries. He was also responsible for treasury, investor relations, external financial reporting and coordinating joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions. Frank O'Brien said, "I am excited to be joining the StockerYale team and look forward to working with management as the company enters a new high-growth phase in the optical components market while continuing to be a leading supplier of specialized illumination products to the machine vision and industrial inspection industries."
