AUSTIN, Texas -- Simplified®, the provider of software infrastructure for efficiently managing the supply chain of communications, today announced that it will outsource carrier reconciliation services to help communications service providers cut costs and rescue profits from inaccurate carrier invoices. As many as 80 percent of all carrier invoices contain mistakes, costing service providers billions of dollars they would otherwise keep. Simplified Carrier Reconciliation will pinpoint these inaccuracies and provide a comprehensive reconciliation statement that service providers can use to dispute the incorrect charges. Inaccuracies include incorrect call durations, improperly applied rates, invalid destination numbers, calls invoiced as incorrect service type, duplicate calls and inaccurate device clocking, among others. “Most companies have no idea how much they overspend on telecommunications,” said Denise Deverelle, Simplified vice president of business development. “Only a complete reconciliation of carrier invoices can find the errors that cost you money. This requires a call-by-call analysis performed by sophisticated software applications. Since carriers all use different billing formats, it is impossible to reconcile by hand.” Simplified’s reconciliation services currently support carrier formats from WorldCom, Sprint, Global Crossing, Qwest and Arbinet-thexchange. Others will be supported as required. Simplified Software
