MANCHESTER, U.K. -- Manchester based network distributor and broadband wholesaler, NetServices Plc, regret to announce the termination of Internet connectivity services to ADSL reseller Gio Internet. This means that around 1400 customers will be unable to connect to the Internet or collect email until they move to another ADSL provider. Termination of service has been carried out due to non payment of invoices by Gio Internet over the past six months even though they are believed to have been charging their customers for the services provided.

Commenting on the unprecedented move, Mark Vickers, managing director of NetServices Plc said; "We have decided to terminate all Internet services for Gio Internet following advice from our lawyers and a debt recovery agency. We recognise that termination of the service will affect a significant number of both residential and business customers but we were unable to gain a satisfactory response from the company as to why they stopped paying us."

He continued; "In order to minimise disruption to users they are currently being directed to a web holding page within our network which explains the issues in greater detail and offers them a range of other resellers to which we will transfer their service to free of charge."

Former Gio Internet customers can move free of charge to one of the following Internet Service providers:

www.cheapadsl.com
www.ycs-net.co.uk
www.namesco.co.uk
www.broadbandbob.co.uk
www.fast.co.uk www.f1internet.co.uk

Mark Vickers concluded; "We are hoping to migrate all former Gio Internet users as quickly as possible to minimise disruption. NetServices has built their reputation since 1996 in providing high quality Internet connectivity solutions to Internet Service providers throughout the UK and up until now have never had to take such severe action for non payment."
