GWANGJU, Korea and HILVERSUM, Netherlands -- OE Solutions and AimValley today announced support for ITU-T Y.1731 frame loss and frame delay measurement and VLAN-aware Maintenance End Points in their Smart SFP™.
Operation, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) are essential for service turn-up and SLA assurance in Carrier Ethernet networks. The Smart SFP™ integrates OAM functions in an SFP module, handing operators an effective tool for monitoring and troubleshooting Ethernet services. The Y.1731 monitoring capabilities provide operators with accurate measurement of frame loss and frame delay in the network. These measurements can be performed separately per end-user, and per individual Class of Service level.
Smart SFP™ offers Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) of end-to-end Service OAM IEEE 802.1ag and Y.1731 Performance Management.
