November 22, 2005
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (Nasdaq: AMCC - News) announced today that it has moved its corporate offices from San Diego to Silicon Valley. AMCC's existing facility at 215 Moffett Park Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 is now the company's principal executive office.
Kambiz Hooshmand, AMCC's CEO explained the move: "This migration has been occurring gradually over the last year, with the addition of several Silicon Valley executives to the new management team. That, and the fact that a number of our key, tier one customers are in the area -- within minutes of our Sunnyvale office -- prompted the decision to make the move official." The company said it has no plans to make large-scale moves of any existing San Diego-based functions or facilities.
