BARCELONA -- NQ Mobile (NYSE: NQ), a leading global provider of mobile Internet services, today announced that NQ Mobile has reached an agreement with Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. to become an authorized global reseller of the Samsung KNOX Mobile Device Management Solution.
"The reseller agreement between Samsung and NQ Mobile is a natural evolution of our relationship and shared dedication to providing the strongest security solutions that still enable full device functionality in the enterprise setting," said Injong Rhee, Senior Vice President of KNOX Business, IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics.
"NQ Mobile looks forward to this strengthened relationship with Samsung and the ability to promote and resell Samsung KNOX mobile security services for Samsung's entire Android device portfolio including the Samsung GALAXY S and Samsung Note devices," said Gavin Kim, President, International and Chief Commercial Officer, NQ Mobile.
The new agreement extends the strategic relationship between NQ Mobile and Samsung, enabling NQ Mobile to sell, distribute and promote the Samsung KNOX end-to-end mobile security solution for Samsung devices. The KNOX platform provides hardware and software integrated security for advanced data and privacy protection and allows consumers to use a single device for work and personal use with the ability to separate enterprise and personal environments. It provides reassurance and convenience for IT departments looking to implement and manage Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) strategies, or looking to replace legacy infrastructures, supporting Samsung mobile devices.
