Kipany Deploys NetScreen Security

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -— NetScreen Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: NSCN) today announced that Kipany Productions, a direct marketing agent for regional telephone and wireless companies, has deployed NetScreen's network security solutions to secure its Internet gateway and establish secure remote connections for clients and third-party vendors.

As third-party vendors slowly began to assert direct relationships with Kipany clients, the company realized that they were losing valuable business opportunities and contact with their customers, which in turn threatened to derail the long-term growth plan for Kipany. To address and help facilitate better relationships and productivity with its third-party vendors and customers, Kipany decided to establish extranets for each partner to share information directly with Kipany and in turn, its clients.

To facilitate secure access across the extranets and to secure the critical customer data stored on Kipany's main network, Kipany selected and implemented NetScreen's hardware-based, integrated firewall and virtual private network (VPN) appliances. Kipany found the NetScreen solution easy to deploy and maintain. Kipany also has seen many benefits including increased communication and productivity with its vendors and partners and IT budget optimization.
