Developer of Hyper-Secured Infrastructure closes a $30M Series B funding round led by Index Ventures.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Skyport Systems, Inc., the developer of Hyper-Secured Infrastructure that ensures the security of mission-critical IT and corporate assets, announced today that it has closed a $30M Series B funding round led by Index Ventures, with participation from Intel Capital and existing investor Sutter Hill Ventures. The Series B round brings total Skyport funding to $37M.

"In today's age of mobile devices and cloud computing, modern enterprise companies need to fundamentally rethink their approach to protecting their security perimeters," said Mike Volpi, general partner at Index Ventures, who joins the Skyport board of directors. "Stefan and his team at Skyport are building cutting-edge solutions to secure and protect critical services and we're excited to team up with them as they expand their work at the intersection of the billion-dollar compute and security pillars within IT."
