STOCKHOLM -- Tail-f Systems, the leading developer of on-device configuration management software for networking equipment providers, announced today that Emerson Network Power has selected the company as a Configuration Management partner in its recently launched Innovation Partnership Program.
“Tail-f Systems is a leader in the on-device configuration management field,” said Jorge Magalhaes, Vice President of Marketing for the Embedded Computing Business of Emerson Network Power. “The company’s product features and use of open standards provide a strong contribution to our community of partners. By pre-integrating state-of-the-art configuration management solutions from Tail-f with Emerson’s Avantellis distribution of the OpenSAF high-availability middleware, we enable network equipment providers to focus their development resources on critical, differentiating features that provide a competitive advantage.”
Emerson will test program partner products for compatibility and interoperability with the company’s hardware and software products. The Innovation Partnership Program facilitates comprehensive, application-specific solutions with interoperability from a single source.
“An increasing number of network equipment providers are looking for pre-integrated solutions using open interfaces,” says Håkan Millroth, CEO, Tail-f Systems. “By providing a pre-integrated configuration management framework, Tail-f and Emerson will offer the industry a way to reduce their time-to-market and benefit from carrier-grade implementations of required configuration management features.”
