SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Polaris Networks, a developer of new generation optical transport switching systems, today announced it has appointed William (Bill) C. Tucker as its vice president of marketing. Bill will report directly to Polaris' founder/CEO Ray Kao, and will be responsible for all aspects of marketing, including strategy, positioning and product roadmap for the company. "Bill is a highly seasoned individual, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the telecom market segment that is directly relevant to our business," noted Ray Kao, CEO and CTO of Polaris Networks. "As we prepare our products for market delivery early next year, Bill's experience and extensive knowledge of optical transmission and switching systems will be invaluable to our market positioning and product introduction.
