NEW YORK -- IPlay3(tm), a consortium merging market-leading technologies from Highdeal, NetCentrex and Envivio, today announced the billing and OSS components of its triple play solution. IPlay3 offers a best-of-breed, integrated solution for providers seeking a quick and cost effective entry into the residential triple play market.

The IPlay3 solution delivers not only value-added voice and video services on top of a high-speed Internet offering, but is also first to market with a solution delivering integrated billing and OSS capabilities. These capabilities provide a comprehensive triple play service delivery platform including:

  • Subscriber portal

  • On demand provisioning

  • Centralized offer management

  • Single-threaded rating & billing

  • Partner settlement & royalty management

In addition, the IPlay3 solution provides powerful tools for profitability analysis and business model simulation, tools that are particularly critical in the rapidly emerging triple play market.

For established service providers, the solution integrates seamlessly into existing OSS/BSS environments providing rapid market entry with minimal disruption. Components of the solution were developed in compliance with OSS though Java(tm) Initiative (OSS/J) API's and design guidelines.

"With an increasing number of broadband access methods and penetration rates, service providers are focusing on protecting their market share while expanding into new markets and services like triple play," commented Camilla Dahlen, President of Highdeal, Inc. "Moving to higher value and higher margin services can be a daunting task. The IPlay3 consortium delivers a solution that eliminates many of the OSS/BSS challenges."

According to Alain Fernando-Santana, CEO of NetCentrex, "The IPlay3 consortium enables service providers to move quickly by addressing not only the service components but also the critical billing and OSS components, enabling service providers to focus on their markets rather than their operations."

"The billing and OSS challenges involved in launching a new service like triple play can be overwhelming," said Julien Signes, President and CTO of Envivio. "The integrated IPlay3 solution enables service providers to manage, for example, royalty obligations resulting from video on demand services."
