Industry vet Dr. Christopher H. Morton to expand on company's recent success in mobile phone and wireless data markets

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- SkyCross Inc., a leading developer of advanced RF and antenna technology, announced today that Dr. Christopher H. Morton has joined the company as President and Chief Executive Officer. Morton, who has previously served as the company's Chairman of the Board, has 25 years of entrepreneurial and corporate leadership experience in the communications infrastructure industry, and a proven track record in developing highly successful start-ups. Morton will be responsible for enhancing SkyCross' newly established presence in the mobile phone and wireless data markets, developing upon the company's recent contract and reference design wins. "SkyCross is at an exciting stage of its history and Chris has the talent, experience and expertise to lead the company to new levels of market success," said Lars Swanson, SkyCross Chairman of the Board. "Chris brings to SkyCross a deep knowledge of the wireless industry and RF technologies, along with a strong focus on market expansion, sales growth and operations management. Prior to joining SkyCross, Morton was Executive in Residence with MILCOM Technologies -- a developer of technology companies in partnership with defense contractors, commercial companies, federal laboratories and other leading-edge research and development sources. His role at MILCOM was to launch new communications companies. In this capacity, he served as the initial CEO to initialize business operations, recruit the senior-level management team, engage potential customers and partners, and secure venture funding.
