MONTREAL -- NHC Communications Inc. (TSE: NHC), the leading provider of automated mainframe solutions for the copper- based telecommunications and Internet access markets, announced today continued orders from its current principal Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) customer. The new orders amount to $1.9 million and strengthen the direction for the deployment of NHC's ControlPoint(TM) solutions for this customer's network. As part of these orders, this ILEC became NHC's second ILEC customer to use multiple ControlPoint(TM) 5400s linked together to control over 6,000 voice and data lines in one location.

This sustained relationship crystallises the efforts of customer-centric development activities to meet customer requirements and maintain a leading- edge technology. "NHC prides itself on the ability to provide creative solutions, backed by a formidable customer support ethic" notes NHC President and CEO Sylvain Abitbol.

The units are expected to be shipped shortly and, based on the credit terms provided to the customer, they should be paid during the next sixty days. NHC expects this ILEC customer to continue to place orders for ControlPoint(TM) solutions over the term of the purchase agreement with the Company.

During the current fiscal year 2003, NHC has been the only company to ship automated mainframe solutions in North America. With orders from three North American ILEC customers totalling $26 million in this period, NHC has further extended its leadership in the automated mainframe marketplace.

As NHC expands its product portfolio and software capabilities, additional applications will continue to unfold. For an emerging market, NHC has gained significant ground, and will continue to accelerate its efforts as the number one provider of this new technology.
