LAS VEGAS -- mPhase Technologies (OTCBB:XDSL) is using this week's TelecomNEXT show (Booth 1871) as a launch pad for its IPTV in a Box(TM) offer, a pre-packaged, complete starter kit designed to help telecommunications providers jump-start the market for revenue-rich video services.

"The complexity of provisioning, managing, and delivering interactive Internet-based television content over broadband networks can be daunting," commented Ronald Durando, mPhase's chief executive. "That's no longer a reason to hold off. We now have a pre-configured IPTV solution, thoroughly tested and certified, that is designed for immediate deployment and rapid time to revenue. mPhase's scalable, single-cabinet IPTV in a Box offer is designed for worry-free integration into existing operations systems at a cost of $500 per subscriber in this special offer through June, 2006."

Durando added that IPTV in a Box could be used by small operators to launch video services for up to 1,000 customers, or by large operators who might want to set up a single or multiple central office IPTV pilot.

The IPTV in Box offer includes the hardware necessary for a single central office installation. The "Box" is a 22U rack of HP ProLiant DL380 and DL360 servers and includes key capabilities from the following mPhase partners:

  • SkyStream iPlex(TM) head end hardware and software for encoding TV content

  • Latens Software Defined Content Authentication

  • Entone StreamLiner(R) Network Video Recorder (NVR) software

  • Triveni Digital GuideBuilder(TM) Electronic Program Guide Software Solution
