GURAGON, India -- Flextronics Software Systems (FSS), a global end-to-end communication solutions provider, has been ranked as the global market leader in the SIP domain for FY 2005 in a report released by technology market research and strategy firm Venture Development Corporation (VDC).

According to the latest report by VDC on Telecom Core Infrastructure Market Intelligence Service 2005-2006 Volume IV: VoP Network Elements (July 2006), FSS’ share in global sales of SIP stacks/toolkits reached 32% in FY 2005. FSS has also maintained its Number 1 status in key geographic regions such as the Americas (including Northern, Latin and Southern America) and Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and emerged a clear winner leaving behind its nearest competitor by 12 percentage points.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Bob Johnson, Senior Telecom Analyst, Venture Development Corporation, said, “SIP is a dynamic technology and high-tech companies need to ensure the success of their customers by constantly developing and delivering innovative products. Our report analyses technologies on parameters such as scalability, ease of integration and protocol support which companies keep in mind while choosing an enabling platform technology. FSS moved its way upto to Number 1 slot as its SIP offerings scored heavily on each of these parameters besides the performance and interoperability fronts”.
