Insight Selects Arris CMTS

SUWANEE, Ga. -- ARRIS (Nasdaq: ARRS) today announced that top ten MSO Insight Communications (Nasdaq: ICCI) has recently placed multiple orders for the industry-leading ARRIS Cadant C4 Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS). Insight Communications is already a customer of ARRIS in the Cornerstone® Voice Port®, HDT and cable modem categories, and these orders represent a significant expansion of the business relationship between the two companies.

Following nearly a year of testing in the Insight Labs against competitive products from a variety of vendors, the Cadant C4 CMTS won the business based in large part on its fully redundant and hitless failover capabilities. After testing many other CMTS’s, the ARRIS Cadant C4 CMTS won the business after scaling up to and maintaining performance at five 9’s reliability of service.
