Heavy Reading Appoints New Senior Analyst

NEW YORK -- Heavy Reading (www.heavyreading.com), a leading provider of research services to the telecommunications industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Graham Finnie as Senior Analyst, effective September 1.

Finnie has been researching telecommunications issues for nearly 20 years as a journalist, analyst, and consultant. He joins Heavy Reading from The Yankee Group, where he was most recently responsible for establishing a European broadband and media research program.

Finnie has published reports on a wide range of topics, including broadband consumer usage trends, pricing and packaging of telecom services, home networking, prospects for Europe's incumbent telcos, European communications regulation, and infrastructure developments.

As a journalist, Finnie was editor-in-chief of the award-winning industry newspaper Communications Week International and has edited several other leading trade publications.

At Heavy Reading, Finnie will be responsible for tracking telecom service and technology developments in the European and worldwide markets, including the emerging wireline/wireless convergence sector. He also will develop and direct custom research projects for the European telecommunications markets.
