Freenet Outlines M&A

BUDELSDORF, Germany -- freenet AG has completed its acquisition of the debitel Group, making it the new owner of the debitel Group. The debitel(Netherlands) Holding B.V. owned by Permira funds now owns an approx. 24.99 percent stake in freenet AG.

The executive board of freenet AG resolved today to issue an invitation for declarations of interest in its broadband business from potential purchasers. freenet AG is being supported in this project by Arma Partners LLP as M&A consultants. A sale of this business may follow on from the first phase, which is initially non-binding.
