WATFORD, U.K. -- FiberLogix Ltd. today unveiled the FWDM, one of the industry's highest performance wavelength division multiplexer (WDM) device based on environmentally stable thin film technology. The resulting low-insertion-loss, low-cost advantages of these devices are primed to accelerate deployments of FTTX area networks by allowing High isolation to the 1300nm,1490 and 1550nm wavelengths while making it more economical than ever before to meet anticipated bandwidth requirements.

Besides driving down WDM insertion loss, the manufacturing process supports isolation up to 35dB between passband and reflection band and offers low PDL. The devices are available in 1x2 or 2x2 configuration for 1300/1550, 1490/1550, 1500/1575 wavelengths range. They are deigned to meet telecordia Gr1221 and Gr1209.

The devices can also be customized to meet customer stringent requirements and has shown excellent environmental stability over wide range of temperature variations. The devices are packaged in compact 5.5X35mm packaging.
