Extreme Appoints Veteran

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Extreme Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXTR - News), a leader in Ethernet networking, today announced that Harry Silverglide has joined the Company's Board of Directors. Silverglide has an extensive background in managing successful worldwide sales organizations for market-leading networking infrastructure companies. Silverglide, who served as a former vice president of Worldwide Sales for Extreme Networks from 1997 until 2001, has in-depth and first-hand knowledge of the Company's markets and worldwide organization. He replaces Peter Wolken who served on Extreme's Board since the Company's inception in 1996 until his retirement in May 2004.
