ESPOO, Finland -- Versatel enhances the portfolio of communication services for its enterprise customers. The communication service provider who operates throughout Germany has deployed Nokia Siemens Networks’ hiQ Voice over IP (VoIP) platform to provide a range of new, converged services over an IP connection. With this IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) ready application platform, Versatel is implementing a next generation architecture.

Nokia Siemens Networks’ hiQ4200/4300 product allows Versatel’s business customers to start unification and central provisioning of services, for instance consolidating different locations into one number plan. Moreover Versatel will immediately offer services such as IP Centrex** and Customer Self Administration. With this, Versatel’s enterprise customers do not have to maintain their own PBXs anymore. They can use the full range of services centrally provided by Versatel and also have complete control over the services in use.

In addition, the geo-redundancy nature of Nokia Siemens Networks’ VoIP offering assures enterprises 24x7 availability. Even in the event of a major outage the geo-redundant system can be made available to provide uninterrupted services without any downtime.
