Telcordia Tops Convergent Charging Ranking

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Telcordia, a global leader in the development of Mobile, Broadband and Enterprise software and services, today announced that it has been named the global revenue leader in the convergent charging software and services market by analyst firm Infonetics Research. With 15.4 percent of the market share in a USD$862.3 million segment, Telcordia was the fastest‑growing vendor by revenue in 2010, finishing in the number-one spot.

The firm’s June 2011 report, “Convergent Charging Software and Services: Biannual Worldwide and Regional Market Share, Size, and Forecasts,” offers a detailed market-share analysis for convergent charging software and services, projecting segment growth to USD$3.3 billion by 2015, driven in large part by communications service providers’ (CSPs’) need to support multiple services with a single payment system. The report cites Telcordia’s “significant presence in India, where rapid subscriber growth is translating to rapid license revenue” as a primary contributor to the company’s market leadership.
