PARIS -- Orange Business Services, a leading global integrator of communications solutions, is expanding its satellite and support services in Asia to new verticals both on land and at sea through an expanded partnership with SpeedCast, the leader in satellite communication services across Asia. SpeedCast is also providing local testing facilities as well as installation and engineering support services to Orange Business Services.

SpeedCast has been in partnership with Orange Business Services since the 2nd half of 2007, helping the company expand its satellite and support services across Asia. The partnership has brought great benefits to date for both companies and is growing by addressing new verticals and services in this key developing region.

SpeedCast is a well-suited partner with world-class regional satellites, teleports and offices across Asia offering regional satellites services and support for land- and maritime-based customers.

Orange Business Services has a world-class global IP VPN service for its multinational corporate customers. By using satellite VSAT services, Orange Business Services can integrate its customers' remote sites with their terrestrially-linked sites, offering them greater geographic coverage and network access while delivering complete end-to-end solutions both on land and at sea.

On the maritime side, this powerful partnership has already delivered some great success, including a maritime VSAT network supporting the world's largest offshore company with a fleet of more than 200 existing offshore supply vessels and an extensive new builds program. On the land side, large banks' IP VPNs are being extended and complemented by VSAT satellite services.

"We are very pleased to be able to build on the initial success of our partnership with SpeedCast by developing an increasing number of value added services that can be transmitted over the satellite and integrated over land-based networks, such as VoIP, ERP, e-mail and video among others," said Eric Ng, Vice President, Global Communications Solutions, Asia Pacific, Orange Business Services. "This integration is a business-critical benefit to our customers, enabling seamless and robust communications regardless of geography."
