Sabeus rounds out team with engineering and quality & reliability assurance executives

CHATSWORTH, Calif. -- Sabeus Photonics, Inc, technology leader in the design and manufacture of high-concept optical devices for use throughout the optical communications network, has added three new executives to its roster -- Nathalie Gossett as vice president, engineering, Charles Barakat, as vice president, quality & reliability assurance, and Gordon Li, chief engineer, active components. These executives join Dr. Bill Morey, recently named as vice president of engineering development for sensors, to round out the start-up's engineering management team. "The addition of Nathalie, Charles and Gordon to the company reflects our commitment to building an organization with an extremely broad-based engineering capability that serves the numerous opportunities for our high-concept technology," said company CEO, Andre' de Fusco. "We believe that we have accomplished this, and look forward to this impressive team making significant contributions to the success of our company." Nathalie Gossett, 41, will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day engineering and product development activities. She brings 16 years of technical management experience that includes developing optical components for start-ups, to team building and program management at Alcatel USA's optical group, in Dallas Texas. Charles Barakat, 42, will direct Sabeus' Quality and Reliability labs. He comes to Sabeus with over 16 years of quality and reliability experience from industry and in the military sector. Dr. Gordon (Guo-Ping) Li, 44, is charged with the development of active components and mode coupling. He was most recently co-founder, president and CTO of Angeles Optics, Inc, an early stage company. Sabeus Photonics Inc.
