MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Nokia (NYSE:NOK) today announced the availability of its latest perimeter protection solution, RealSecure® 7.0 for Nokia, the next-generation in network intrusion protection. The RealSecure for Nokia solution tightly integrates Nokia's purpose-built, dedicated and easy-to-manage network security appliance with Internet Security System, Inc.'s (ISS) (Nasdaq: ISSX) network intrusion protection technology, offering significant benefits over traditional intrusion detection options. "RealSecure 7.0 for Nokia offers the advanced intrusion detection technology our customers are asking for," said Jody Brazil, Chief Technology Officer, Fishnet Security. RealSecure 7.0 for Nokia delivers new and improved capabilities for monitoring large amounts of network activity, including, high-speed detection, advanced protocol analysis, and active blocking to automatically detect and respond to attacks. RealSecure for Nokia intrusion protection agents now also feature enhanced kill performance, providing even faster TCP active threat response. Kills provide automated attack response and connection termination for many attacks, including Internet worms such as Nimda and Code Red.
