LANGLEY, U.K. -- Neos, the creator of the UK Liquid Bandwidth Ethernet market, announces today the launch of Ethernet VPNs. Based on Neos’ award winning MPLS optical Ethernet network, Ethernet VPNs allow customers with multiple sites to significantly reduce the cost and increase the performance of their Wide Area Network. Ethernet VPNs reduce cost by eliminating multiple tail circuits and extraneous router ports at the hub or Headquarters site. Liquid Bandwidth Ethernet reduces re-provisioning times from 60 plus days to a maximum of 48 hours, a saving of some 97%. Using end to end MPLS-enabled optical Ethernet significantly improves network performance by reducing latency or delays. “Multi-site Ethernet VPNs build on our successful Ethernet services” comments John Wheeler, CEO Neos. “Our customers can derive further benefits as our Ethernet VPNs are protocol agnostic. Ethernet VPNs are the natural partner for IP v4 or 6 and pave the way for applications such as VOIP by overcoming the limitations of legacy WANs”. “Ethernet is a natural next step in WAN architectures since it is ubiquitous in the LAN. Ethernet VPNs make it possible to create a transparent corporate network across both LAN and WAN.” commented Margaret Hopkins, Industry Analyst.NeosCorp Ltd.
