LAS VEGAS -- MobiTV, Inc., the global leader in television and digital radio services for cellular, WiFi and broadband enabled devices, today announced that more than one million users now subscribe to its mobile television services worldwide.

Since launching its first mobile television service in November 2003, MobiTV has successfully sparked an entirely new business category, signed-on more than 50 international content partnerships and deployed its television services on more than 20 mobile networks worldwide.

"The MobiTV(R) Service has seen faster growth in the past six months than ever before," said Phillip Alvelda, CEO and chairman of MobiTV. "Word-of-mouth referrals by subscribers who love the service, combined with incredible operator and content partnership support has brought us to this historic milestone even faster than we ever expected, and we were pretty optimistic to begin with. MobiTV, and now the whole mobile television category, is on fire."

The company offers: MobiTV, the Emmy(R) Award winning television service which includes both live television and made-for-mobile programming for mobile, WiFi and broadband enabled devices; and the MobiRadio(TM) service, which includes more than 40 commercial free digital music channels featuring hip-hop, pop, alternative, rap and rock.

"We announced breaking the 500,000 subscriber mark in just under two years from our initial launch, and now six short months later, we've doubled to reach one million," said Paul Scanlan, COO and co-founder of MobiTV. "That's a phenomenal success story for MobiTV, but more importantly, it shows that consumers want and expect television to be part of their mobile service offering. This is also a clear indication that U.S. mobile networks are nowhere near capacity as some in the industry have been suggesting. Congratulations to all of our partners for helping us achieve this important milestone!"
